SUMMARY:Business Development and Market Uptake - Bioeconomy Ecosystem Training
DESCRIPTION:Monday 19 October\, 11:00 – 13:00 CET\n\n\n\nDeveloping a successful business model in the bioeconomy requires more than having a promising technology\, product or resource. It requires understanding what value is created\, for whom\, which actors and resources are needed\, how value is delivered and captured\, and how economic\, environmental and social objectives can be aligned. \n\n\n\nFor the fourth training of the Bioeconomy GIANTS Ecosystem series\, following a short conceptual introduction\, the Business Model Canvas will be used as a practical framework to explore how bioeconomy business models can be designed\, assessed and improved. \n\n\n\nThrough guided questions\, practical examples and participant discussion\, the session will examine value propositions\, key activities and partnerships\, value capture\, sustainability impacts and ecosystem-level challenges. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be encouraged to relate the Canvas to their own organisations\, projects and bioeconomy initiatives. \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\n\nAbout BIOECONOMY GIANTS\n\n\n\nBIOECONOMY GIANTS aims to unlock the value of Europe’s underutilized biomass by repositioning primary producers—such as farmers\, foresters\, and agri-food actors—not just as raw material suppliers\, but as vital stakeholders in the bioeconomy value chain. The project promotes cooperative and circular bio-based business models (CCBBMs) and fosters innovative collaboration between rural actors and bio-based industries.
