DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a great afternoon in early-stage Dutch climate entrepreneurship. \n\n\n\nClimateLaunchpad is the world’s largest green business ideas competition\, and this is where our 2026 cohort\, a selection of early-stage climate and sustainability startups\, steps into the spotlight to pitch for a place on the European and global stage. \n\n\n\nOver the course of the afternoon\, our founders will take on a panel of expert judges\, sharing bold ideas built to tackle the climate crisis and reshape entire industries. The stakes are high: this year’s top 3 teams advance to the European Regional Final\, where they’ll go head-to-head with the best climate startups from across Europe. And the number one team wins a ticket to the Global Grand Final in Singapore this October: the pinnacle of the ClimateLaunchpad journey. \n\n\n\nOur Jury: \n\n\n\n\nSjoerd van Hooijdonk — Bank of America Benelux\n\n\n\nSabine Beuk — Generous Minds\n\n\n\nShaakira Cohen — SUKI Systems\n\n\n\n\nProgramme: \n\n\n\n\n14:45 – 15:00 — Arrival and seating\n\n\n\n15:00 – 17:00 — Pitch sessions\n\n\n\n17:15 — Winner announcement\n\n\n\n17:15 – 18:30 — Networking mixer\, light refreshments provided\n\n\n\n\nCome witness the ideas that could shape the future of climate innovation\, and stay for drinks\, conversation\, and connection with the founders\, judges\, and changemakers driving the green transition forward. \n\n\n\nTogether\, we pitch in for the planet. \n\n\n\nSee you there.

SUMMARY:The Nexus: Online Networking Session #1
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 3 September\, 14:00 – 15:00 CEST\n\n\n\nThe Nexus is the new Climate KIC Community-powered online event format aimed at connecting innovators and knowledge holders with enablers and implementers. \n\n\n\nThis first edition is dedicated to the capabilities our Community can bring to European and beyond funding opportunities (Horizon Europe\, LIFE\, EIC Pathfinder). \n\n\n\nRather than organising the session around single calls\, we organise it around what member organisations know and do: expertise\, technologies\, pilot sites\, coordination experience\, market access. You don’t need to have a target call in mind to take part\, you might be a specialist in a technology or skill who never considered applying for a particular grant\, until an organisation building a proposal tells you they need exactly that capability. \n\n\n\nWhy join? \n\n\n\n\nBuild connections\, partnerships and consortia for the upcoming calls\n\n\n\nMake your capabilities visible to organisations building proposals right now\n\n\n\nDiscover funding pathways you hadn’t considered for your expertise\n\n\n\nMeet potential future partners in a structured\, purposeful way\n\n\n\nFill the gaps in your fundraising strategy\n\n\n\n\nJoin with purpose\, make the most of the interactions\, and build connections that lead your organisation to success. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP or Register today!\n\n\n\nThis event is free for Climate KIC Community members. Log into your account to access your RSVP. \n\n\n\nNot a member? Become a member and get free access to all Nexus sessions\, plus new connections\, visibility\, intelligence and opportunities to grow your organisation. \n\n\n\n\nLog in\n\n\n\nJoin the Community

SUMMARY:Signals: Reading the External Landscape for Risk and Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 17 September\, 14:00 – 16:00 CEST\n\n\n\nWe are living through simultaneous shifts — political\, economic\, social\, technological\, legal\, environmental. Every one of them is throwing off signals right now\, and those signals cut both ways: they carry risk\, but they also carry opportunity for climate action. The organisations that will lead the next decade of climate work are the ones that can anticipate these signals before they land\, categorise them so they’re easier to act on\, and plan for them with confidence\, turning the risk side into resilience\, and the opportunity side into advantage. \n\n\n\nWe’re excited to have you at our session “Signals: Reading the Risks Reshaping Climate Work“. This is a working session\, not a webinar. In small\, facilitated groups\, you’ll take live signals from the external landscape across the PESTLE spectrum – Political\, Economic\, Social\, Technological\, Legal\, Environmental – and interpret what each means for your organisation\, both as risk and as opportunity. Then you’ll zoom out to see how they impact the wider landscape as shared\, systemic risk and opportunity. \n\n\n\nIt’s gamified\, fast-paced\, and built to leave you with a methodology you can actually reuse. \n\n\n\nWhat you can get:\n\n\n\nBefore the session: \n\n\n\n\nExclusive access to a brand-new online / digital card game focused on signals – built by Climate-KIC\, unreleased to the public – a fun and interactive way to get you prepared for the session and explore the opportunities and risks for your organisation.\n\n\n\n\nDuring the session: \n\n\n\n\nA practical methodology for reading signals\, and the risk and opportunity within them\, that you can bring straight back to your organisation\n\n\n\nA sharper eye for how change in one domain (say\, policy) becomes exposure or advantage in another (say\, your funding pipeline)\n\n\n\nA rare room: a broad range of Climate-KIC community members and partners together\, ensuring diverse perspectives and greater collective signal awareness\n\n\n\n\nHow the session runs:\n\n\n\n\nIntro & framing: welcome\, and a quick grounding in what we mean by “signals” and why they matter now\n\n\n\nContextualise your lens: identify the system(s) you work within\, so you’re interpreting signals from the right angle\n\n\n\nSmall groups – read the signals: in facilitated groups of 4–6\, you’ll be handed six real signals across the PESTLE framework\n\n\n\nSmall groups – discuss implications: interpret what each signal means for your organisation as risk and opportunity\, then populate a shared map from a systemic view\n\n\n\nBreak\n\n\n\nShare-back: groups surface what they found\, risks and opportunities identified\, and connect the dots across the room\n\n\n\nClose: key takeaways and how to carry the methodology forward\n\n\n\n\nA limited session\n\n\n\nThis only works in small groups where every voice matters\, so we’re capping it at 25 participants. \n\n\n\nNo passive seats. If you’re in the room\, you’re in a breakout\, building the map with other members. The session’s relevance to your organisation depends on your participation. \n\n\n\nPlease note: group outputs from this session will be anonymised and shared publicly as part of our collective signal-mapping work. \n\n\n\nChange is already in motion across every PESTLE domain. The question is whether your organisation sees it coming: as a threat to brace for\, or an opening to seize. Come train the muscle for both. \n\n\n\nSpots are limited. Secure your place now. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is free for Climate KIC Community members. Log into your account to access your RSVP. \n\n\n\nNot a member? Become a member and get free access to all Signals sessions\, plus new connections\, visibility\, intelligence and opportunities to grow your organisation. \n\n\n\n\nLog in\n\n\n\nJoin the Community

SUMMARY:A Day at the Zoo\, with Climate KIC
DESCRIPTION:Friday 23 October 2026 – 10am to 5pm\n\n\n\nNo Panels. No Agenda. No Sponsors. No Flights. A Conference Like No Other.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Day at the Zoo 2026 is all about the Yes: Yes to serendipity\, Yes to curiosity\, Yes to playful exploration.   \n\n\n\nJoin us for an all-outdoor immersive experience in the unique setting of Artis Park in Amsterdam.  \n\n\n\nWe are dropping the stale format of slides and (male) speaker panels to focus instead on human connection and radical collaboration. Expect a day filled with serious fun where we deliberately mix moments of free form curiosity with action-oriented deal making. Don’t come alone\, bring your decision-makers with you – we’re here to move the dial on climate action so we need the big boss\, your trusted advisor and your allies too. \n\n\n\nWe’ve left no space for passive participation. There is no agenda. There are no microphones.  \n\n\n\nHere you have to work for the day! We offer only a beautiful open space where your two feet govern what happens next. We invite you to walk around and find the exact people you need to take the next step and level up your climate action. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. \n\n\n\nA community passport and map will help guide your visit. Blue Economy in the Aquarium\, Wellbeing in the meditation garden\, Space tech at the Planetarium – you get the idea. But make no mistake – we won’t be there to host you! You are the host of this conference (that isn’t a conference). You are the one that opens the conversation that needs to be had. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow will the day be organised?\nTo make the most of the day\, we have planned a few different ways to help you connect with others: \n\n\n\n\nCommunity Passport – collected on entry\, your community passport will guide your day (map\, agenda\, tips\, etc.) It will also contain people we think you should meet and a copy of the statement of intent you provide at check-out – this will remind you why you chose to come!\n\n\n\nEncounters – we will use your intent statements to loosely shape community encounters: “Meet Ben at The Elephants’ Watering Hole at 2:00 PM to discuss investment funds” or “Meet Ana in the Butterfly Garden at 4:00 PM to discuss Nature Based Solutions to heat adaptation”. Who will host? You. How many people will be there? No idea.\n\n\n\nSerendipity Missions – you will randomly draw three missions from the bowl as you enter. You have all day to complete them. This way we ensure you’ll never have a dull moment.\n\nWhere are the Meerkats?\n\n\n\nDo you want to play Ben’s space game together?\n\n\n\nHow good are your poetry writing skills?\n\n\n\n\n\nSocial Spaces – Building trust and strong connections is central to radical collaboration. Our social spaces will give you a space to retreat from the elements (the weather is probably going to be miserable!) and a space to connect with your community. A tea ceremony here\, a musical performance there\, a beer at sunset. You’ll find lots of spaces to experience human connection in different way.  \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHelpful information to know!\n\nZoos are contentious spaces for many. We understand if you don’t want to come and we’re sorry about that. We believe in the Artis mission to strengthen our connection to nature through education and hope you choose to join us\, even if there are valid questions to ask.\n\n\n\nLunch isn’t included\, but ARTIS has several affordable vegan places to eat on site — find a friend and grab something to eat whenever you like.\n\n\n\nAmsterdam weather can be cantankerous. Even more so these days. We believe there is no such thing as bad weather\, only bad clothing! Come ready for a day outdoors and embrace the Dutch expression “Je bent niet van suiker?” – only those made of sugar will melt in the rain. In case of really bad weather\, we do have a Plan B (retreating to the Groot Museum).\n\n\n\nAmsterdam Dance Event takes place across the city from 21st to 25th October. You might want to book some tickets to a party! Accommodation will be full/expensive in Amsterdam\, so consider staying in nearby towns like Haarlem\, Zandaam\, Utrecht or Leiden. Trains run frequently until 00:30.\n\n\n\nNo sponsors – that also means we have no free tickets ☹. There is a donation option as you check-out\, so use that in case you can chip in extra to help cover the cost. That’d be lovely.\n\n\n\nNo panels – that means you might not feel like we’re validating your status by putting you on stage. We hope you’ll come anyway! We do intend it to be a validating invitation even without the microphone.\n\n\n\nNo flights – that means you’re not allowed fly to this conference. We will ask to see your train ticket or bicycle key upon entry to prove you travelled to us by sustainable means. No\, we don’t trust you. Yes\, we’re serious.\n\n\n\nLike no other – that means we’re asking you to take a risk by coming to something that feels a bit odd. But we think it’s going to be a great time (hopefully!).\n\n\n\nRemember! Communities work well because you get back something for what you put in. So come ready to offer something to put in: Money\, Time\, Experience\, Power. Your mission is to make that gift count by finding the best possible recipient.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have taken great care to invite only the best of the best in climate innovation – you. Our friendly policy makers from the Commission\, deep-pocketed investors from the private sector\, our creative artists from the New European Bauhaus and our edgy innovators passionate for change. Oh\, and it’s a public space so ‘average joe’ will be there too – why not ask them a question or two? Name tags and colour-coded sprout hairclips will help you differentiate between conference attendees and regular visitors.  \n\n\n\nPart conference\, part policy workshop\, part demo day\, part work\, part fun – a conference that’s not a conference\, just a day at the zoo. \n\n\n\nCome in bold pursuit of your personal passion about how the world needs to change. Be clear about what you need to succeed; and be mindful of what you can offer in reciprocity.  \n\n\n\nThe Zoo’s ecosystem is your working space\, move through it and use it as a setting to contemplate life at every scale – from microbial spores to the celestial views provided by the Planetarium – earth\, nature and animals are here to remind you of what’s at stake. Here’s a map to get you excited.  \n\n\n\nWhat role do you play in our system?   \n\n\n\nHow do you want to change it?   \n\n\n\nWho will help you get there?   \n\n\n\nHow many elephants are in this room?
