SUMMARY:Bursting the Climate Bubble
DESCRIPTION:A lively\, interactive session on building broader\, braver and more unexpected coalitions for climate action.\n\n\n\nClimate events often bring together the same people\, saying the same things\, to people who already agree. \n\n\n\nIf we are serious about climate action\, we need to break out of the bubble and ask: who is missing\, who has the power to shift things\, and how do we build coalitions that actually move the needle? \n\n\n\nHosted by Climate KIC Community\, B Lab and Metta\, this session is all about connecting beyond the usual climate crowd. We’ll explore how businesses\, corporates\, community organisations\, creatives\, campaigners\, policymakers and other less obvious allies can work together more responsibly\, more bravely and more effectively. \n\n\n\nWhat you’ll get from the session:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA sharper look at who is in the climate room\, who is missing and why that matters\n\n\n\nHonest provocations on power\, credibility and responsibility in collective action\n\n\n\nFast\, facilitated networking to help you meet unexpected allies\n\n\n\nPractical ideas for building coalitions that are broader\, braver and less boring\n\n\n\nSpace to challenge assumptions\, swap perspectives and escape the climate echo chamber\n\n\n\nLight catering\, good conversations and hopefully zero performative networking\n\n\n\n\nCome ready to burst the bubble\, meet unlikely allies and rethink who climate action is really for.
