Community Guidelines
What we are
Climate Hive is a digital platform for members of Climate KIC Community. The purpose is to create a safe and supportive online space to network, learn and collaborate on climate action and innovation. Our Community thrives on diversity, knowledge exchange, positive engagement, and radical collaboration among members.
To ensure a fruitful experience for everyone, please read and follow the following guidelines.
What we encourage
🗣️ Diverse perspectives: Climate KIC Community is formed by different individuals and organisations in the private and public sector. We embrace and celebrate the diverse experiences and backgrounds of our members, and we believe that radical collaboration is the key driver to achieve systemic change.
🙋♀️ Learning and sharing: Climate Hive is a knowledge-sharing and networking platform. Ask questions, share your expertise, and engage in thoughtful conversations that contribute to collective learning by all members. Sharing your unique insights enriches our discussions and sense of purpose as a Community.
🌟 Positive engagement: Let’s keep our discussions friendly, constructive, and supportive. Encourage others, provide helpful insights, and celebrate each other’s achievements while contributing to climate innovation and adaptation.
💭 Context: Always post your content explaining the context. Links or events without context will not encourage users to engage with your post, and might be mistaken for a phishing attempt, spam, or similar, and therefore reported.
🤗 Feedback to improve: The Climate KIC Community team is always open to suggestions to enhance the experience of all members. Send us an email at community@climate-kic.org if you want to share your views and insights on particular topics.
What we discourage
📛 Disrespectful content: Treat fellow members with kindness and respect, even when you disagree. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, and bullying will not be tolerated.
🗞️ Plagiarism: If you share content that is not originally yours, please ensure you have appropriate permissions to do so, or at least provide the content source, or acknowledge content creators. As a knowledge-sharing platform, it is crucial to know where the information comes from or who contributed to it.
📰 False information & fake news: While the exchange of information is always welcome, ensure the contents you provide come from authoritative sources. The content shared needs to come from trusted sources and be scientifically accurate.
🙅 Controversial political content: While we respect your right to hold any political opinions, please refrain from sharing overtly political posts that may undermine the Community’s purpose.
⚠️ Irrelevant content promotion: Share content that is directly related to the Climate KIC Community. Do not use the Community platform as a channel to promote content or products that are either irrelevant to our purpose and constitute a form of direct marketing.
Content and Member Removal
In the event that someone violates these guidelines, the Community team will take action to protect the interests of the Community as well as any members that might be affected by such action. Please note that Climate KIC reserves the right to remove posts or accounts that are detrimental to the Community without warning.
If you encounter content that does not follow our Community guidelines, please use the platform’s embedded reporting functionality, or contact community@climate-kic.org. The Community team will ensure that your feedback remains confidential.
